While browsing stock photography for work, I came across this.

Who can identify the aircraft? I have no idea what it is.

EDIT: I think !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! correctly identified it as an SU-24. You people never cease to amaze me.

Is that a Tomcat with the wings back?

Tomcat would have single-wheel main gear. I'm guessing this is something non-US.

I thought so but they don't have double wheels in the rear and the body looks more like a single piece. I think I know what it is but I am totally forgetting what the hell its called. I'll think. My dad was a naval aviator so I lived and breathed the shit when I was a kid.

Definitely Russian, the helmets give it away. I'm going to say MiG-31, since it has a two-man crew.

I'm not sure. The wheels on the main gear of a Foxbat are staggered and these don't look that way.

I guessed MiG-31, but I think you're right.

Ah, you're right. I just remembered they had those fins under the nacelles too, but forgot the shape.

I think 415 is right with Su-24. The wheels on those main gear aren't staggered like the Foxbat's.

The only reason I think so is the elevator is lower on the Foxbat, almost at the bottom.

Yeah, I already to 415 saying I thought he pegged it.

I built so many fucking model planes when I was a kid, gluing those on was memorable. I'd go watch my dad and his friends take off and land.

Russians and their goofy-ass landing gear...

I'll back up 415s30 and say it appears to be an SU-24. I spent too much time trying to find a good pic to post.
